God, not programs, shapes the willing into His image. Still, is spiritual formation not also something in which we have a part to play? There are certainly moments in our lives which are out of our control and significantly form our hearts. However, is it not also true that we are invited to ask, seek, and knock? Southwest is a body of Christ that acknowledges God’s supreme role in our formation, and yet, desires to constantly and intentionally invite every single opportunity to be constantly evolving into Christlikeness.
