We believe that following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey. From the very beginning, God created us for relationship—with Him and with one another. That's why one of the best ways to grow spiritually is by walking alongside others who encourage, challenge, and support you.
At Southwest, we want every person to experience authentic biblical community. Whether you're new to faith, exploring Christianity, or have followed Jesus for many years, there's a place for you.
Community Groups (our traditional small groups) are gatherings of 8–20 people who typically meet in homes or other informal settings. These groups share life through friendship, prayer, Bible discussion, service, and encouragement.
For those who want to take another step in their discipleship journey, Apprentice Groups provide a more intentional environment for spiritual growth and disciple-making.
These smaller, gender-specific groups (typically 3–5 people) meet regularly, generally for 9-12 months, to practice the way of Jesus together through Scripture, prayer, accountability, and living on mission. Apprentice Groups are designed to help participants not only grow as disciples but also learn how to disciple others.
At Southwest, we believe everyone is somewhere on the journey of following Jesus. Community Groups help us belong and grow together, while Apprentice Groups help us become intentional disciples who can invest in others.
No matter where you are on your journey, we'd love to help you find the next step that's right for you.
Whether you're looking for a place to belong, ready to become more like Jesus, or wanting to learn how to help others follow Him, we'd love to help you discover your next step.
