Two of the biggest enemies of recovery are fear and isolation. Right now, there seems to be an overabundance of fear and a recommendation to isolate ourselves. For those of us in recovery this combination could be life threatening. We live in an age where technology gives us some options that previous generations did not have. However, not everyone has internet access to be able to utilize some of those tools. Because of this we will continue to provide space for the Narcotics Anonymous, Nar-Anon Family groups, and CR groups for people who need it. This will be in accordance with local health recommendations which state groups need to be 10 people or less, practicing of social distancing within these groups, as well as sanitizing all areas regularly to minimize the risk of transmitting COVID-19. We will also list some of the online resources available so that those who have access to the internet can remain active in their recovery without having to get out any more than necessary. We ask that if you are not feeling well or have been ill within the last 2 weeks or have been asked to self-quarantine or been in contact with someone who has been self-quarantined that you not attend the in-person meetings. If you have any questions, would like more resources or would like to speak with someone in recovery during all of this please contact Jeromy Hunter at 806-282-6965 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
